Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturerof architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial constructionindustry. ?Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) helpsarchitects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their owngroundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond? - Reynolux? products. ?We serve the global market with manufacturingfacilities in Eastman, Georgia USA and Merxheim, France, which manufacturesand markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asiaand the Middle East.


We have an immediate opening for a Quality Managerfor the Eastman, GA Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) plant. ?Reportingto the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager supervises and directs dailyQuality functions for AAP Eastman, GA.


Overview:

The primary purpose of this role is the successful improvement andsustainability of AAP?s Quality Assurance system and management of QualityAssurance activities regarding quality policy, process control, customerquality specifications, technology, data acquisition and compliance of Arconiccorporate quality standards.


The Eastman, GA facility supports the Reynobond composite line, 1cut-to-length line, and Finished goods products. ?The Quality Manager is responsible to drivereduction in vendor & customer claims, implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015certification, oversee root cause analysis of vendor & customer claimsissued, monitors third party QC, manages process controls for manufacturing,calibration of measuring devices, and documentation for the location. ?Quality Manager also provides leadership andguidance to Quality department.


Duties &Responsibilities include:



  • Materials review

  • Vendor & customercorrective action requests

  • Departmental budget

  • Hourly payroll for QCemployees

  • Process management foroperation production centers

  • Performance managementfor QC department.

  • Interact with externalcustomers and sales representatives regarding customer complaints and productclaims.

  • Oversee 6 directreports.

  • Acts as customeradvocate in product quality standards

  • Works with plantpersonnel concerning incoming raw material and finished product quality

  • Represents QualityAssurance with suppliers regarding raw material specifications, quality andreliability

  • Act as liaison forcorporate quality standards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor?s Degree froman Accredited institution

  • 3 years of experience inan operations / manufacturing environment required?


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5 years of qualityexperience in manufacturing environment

  • ISO 9001 experience

  • Supervisory experience

  • Effective written andoral communication, working with multifunctional teams and team leadership.

  • Strong knowledge ofproject management, problem solving, and root cause analysis needed



 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
